Marshall Township Board Meeting

March 26, 2018

The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Bosserd at 7:00 p.m.

Present:  Albaugh, Bosserd, Lyng, Quinn, George

Absent:  None

Pledge of Allegiance was led by Chief Riggs.

Motion by Quinn, 2nd by George, to approve the agenda.  Motion carried.

There were no audience comments.

Reports were accepted/approved as submitted.

Noticed Public Hearing on the 2018 – 19 Budget and Tax Rate opened at 8:10.  Mr. Albaugh presented and led the discussion on the budget, tax rate, 5 year capital improvement budget and attached notes.  The Public Hearing was closed at 8:22 p.m.

Motion by Quinn, 2nd by George, to approve minutes of February 19, 2018 meeting, outstanding bills of $80,938.35, to approve the 2018-19 budget, tax rate and general appropriations act, to approve 2017-18 Budget Amendment #1, to approve 5-year Capital Improvement Budget, to approve the engagement letter with bond financial consultant for road plan proposal and to authorize the “Treasurer, as Township road liaison to sign the agreement, to approve the 15 Mile Rd. project with Calhoun County Road Department from 2018-19 budget, to approve preliminary local road plan bond issue estimates provided by financial consultant, to receive an update on PA 425  agreement with City of Marshall, to table request for two deer crossing signs for 17 ½ Mile Rd, to accept the Board of Review report for the March 2018 Session, to approve recommendation of Fire Board to authorize purchase of and equipping of a utility vehicle for the Fire Department from 2018-19 budget.

                           No – none                    Motion carried.

There were no audience comments.

Board Member comments:  Heritage Commons is asking the Township to fix Preston Drive.  It is on the bond list for future voter approval.
