Calhoun County, Michigan

The Marshall Township Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a hearing on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at 4 PM at the Marshall Township Hall located at 13551 Myron Avery Dr. In Calhoun County, Michigan, for the purpose of hearing all persons interested in the following issue:

Application of David Lowe, 14520 15 Mile RD, Marshall, MI parcel 16-222-021-00 for a variance to add a 20’ x 32’ garage addition to an existing 22’ x 24’ garage that is attached to the principal dwelling that does not meet the right side and front yard setback and exceeds maximum coverage. Applicant is requesting a right side variance of 31’ (from 50’ to 19’), front yard variance of 1’ (60’ to 59’), and a variance for max lot coverage of 15% to 21%.

Copies of the applications, Marshall Township Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map are available for inspection at the Marshall Township office Monday - Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
